Procedure to Install the Security Components into
the Pocket PC through your Win 98/NT 4.0/2000 PC

In order to facilitate our customers a trusted and secured environment to use their Pocket PCs to perform banking transactions over the Internet, we have prepared a package of security components for you to install in your Pocket PC. Once you install these security components into your Pocket PC, you are entitled to enjoy this State-of-the-Art technology and at the same time, enhancing your Pocket PC to support 128 bits SSL encryption. The setup procedure is indeed very simple, you just need to click a few buttons to complete the installation. The security components are suitable for Win 98/NT/2000 users with Pocket PCs of Compaq iPAQ or HP Jornada . To start the setup procedure, you can first obtain the security components as described below:


Obtain a Diskette with the PDA Security Components from BEA Branches

Please fill in the registration form of Cyberbanking - PDA Channel at any BEA branches. Afterwards, our branch staff will give the diskette with the PDA security components to you if the stocks are available . Otherwise, our branch staff will contact you to get it within a few days.

A. Installation of Essential Security Module for banking transactions through PDA

A1. Extract the "PPC-Security.zip" file and save it in your computer.

A2. Make sure that your Pocket PC is in connection with your computer through the cradle.

A3. Run the "PPC-Security.exe" file which you has already extracted to your computer, the following screen will be shown afterwards. Press the "Install Security Module" button to start the installation of the essential security module which is to provide a secured transaction environment for the Pocket PC.

A4. The "Software License Agreement" screen will be prompted up as below. Please make
sure that you have read all the details of the agreement before you press "Yes" to confirm the agreement.

A5. Press "Yes" to confirm the module to be installed in the default directory set by the installation program.

A6. The installation of the security module is completed. Please check your Pocket PC if there is any message prompted up for you to confirm.

B. Installation of the Microsoft High Encryption Pack (SSL 128 bits) for Pocket PC

B1. Press the "Install SSL 128 bits Encryption" button to start the installation of the Microsoft High Encryption Pack (SSL 128 bits) for Pocket PC which is to enhance the security encryption level of your Pocket PC browser.

B3. Press the "Next" button in Figure b.4 and then the "Software License Agreement" will be prompted up as below. Please make sure that you have read all the details of the agreement before you press "Yes" to confirm the agreement.

B4. Press the "Next" button to continue the installation or press the "Browse" button to choose the installation directory.

B5. Press "Yes" to confirm the encryption pack to be installed in the default directory set by the installation program.
